Navjeevan Mahila Manch 10 years celebration
No one can forget 26th Jannuary 2001 in which the killer earthquake took away of thousands of lives and leaving thousands partially or fully handicapped. CARITAS INDIA the international organization with support and guidance of Rajkot diocese through Kutch Jyoti Trust jumped in to the relief and rehabilitation operation. Further 14 villages were adopted for the fulfillment of infrastructure as part of it 3264 earthquake proof houses, Sanitation , community halls, Schools, Panchayat houses over head and underground water tanks etc. were constructed in the District of Kutch. After this livelihood options and microfinance etc were adopted for the beneficiaries through the platform of SHGs. In the initial stage there were only 14 villages with limited SHGs now has become into the registered body called Navjeevan Mahila Munch which now has 446 SHGs on extension of 60 villages. 2012 is the Golden Jubilee of CARITAS INDIA and a warm celebration was arranged by the Navjeevan Mahila Munch in the premise of KJT. This celebration was decorated with so many dignitaries including Fr. Varghese Mattamna the Executive Director of CARITAS INDIA. There were Sarpanches and other village leaders of the adopted villages and thousands of members of the federation witnessed the whole day Programmes in which the CARITAS INDIA was facilitated by the villages and the bureaucracies. The Beneficiaries did contribute more than 5 lakhs to the Relief fund of CARITAS.
Women's Day On 18th MAR,2012
The celebration of international women’s day of Navjeevan Mahila Manch which usually known as Navjeevan Mahila Milan was held on 18th March 2012 with unique way of celebration in which thousands of the members of Munch and dignitaries from different spears took part in the whole day progrmmes. This year it was a remarkably memorable due to other incorporates like the Golden Jubilee of Caritas India which has a great impact over the victims of Earthquake and the same organization was assisting KJT till 2007 and the honoring ceremony of the elected PRI members, the inauguration of the next year campaign opted for Munch Healthy Women Healthy family. As usual micro finance loan of Rs. 7, 34,700/- was availed to 07 clusters by KJT and 30 women obtained photo lamination kit from RTI. The people of the 12 adopted villages contributed together with the contribution of Maha Mandal above than 5 lakhs to the CARITAS INDIA. Verities and theme projected cultural Programmes made the day most enjoyable together with the inspiring talks of the dignitaries. All the centers contributed their own ways to with all kinds of recourses like personals, vehicles etc.
BAL MILAN
Baal Milan (Gathering of children”). Every year on children’s day we brought the children from our target villages. Our main purpose is providing the stage to rural community children to come up and perform their inhabited skills. Every year we select the particular theme and work on in through out the year.
BAL MILAN 2016
Looking into the poor status of education in Kutch district we have initiated formation of Bal Mandal (Children’s Club) in our target villages. The main purpose of this initiation is to
- Reduce the dropouts from the school.
- Increase in the school enrollment at right age.
- Develop the inhabited talents of the children with curricular and extra curricular activities.
- Conducting tuition classes for the children weak in their academic.
- Educational support to the children ailing from poor families.
To promote the children education and to develop their talents we had organised BAL MILAN (Children’s Day) on 15th November 2016 at Bhuj.
There were different programes like Yoga class, Health awareness for teenagers, Cyber crime class etc .
We conducted different outdoor games like relay race, short-put, tug of war etc for the boys and girls both .
