District Federation (Navjeevan Mahila Manch
Navjeevan Mahila Manch the district federation of women self help group got its legal existence under two acts on the 21st of April 2005. It got registered under the societies registration act 1860 (act no. xxi of 1860) as the number GUJ/1115/Kachchh and the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 as the number F/1291/Kachchh. Women groups are now at the level of social parameters to reach the main stream with an increased strength of oneness.
The idea of the Manch/District Federation is that every village will have a Mahamandal/village federation. Four representatives from each group representing health, education, livelihood and village development will be the part of the village federation. Four representatives from all the village under one cluster will form into a cluster federation. at the top the district federation will have representative from each village.
At present 345 groups have registered themselves in the district federation with their life time membership.
